Supreme Coffee Scrub
Céla pairs expertly dark-roasted, finely ground coffee beans with coarser raw sugar for thoroughly invigorating at-home exfoliation. The dual-sized particles effortlessly slough away dead skin, awakening natural radiance, and the rich scent of coffee perks up spirits. Rich cupuaçu butter and conditioning Abyssinian oil nourish and protect, while caffeine penetrates the skin barrier to smooth and tighten, reducing cellulite by stimulating the breakdown of excess fats in cells close to the surface as well as fighting the harmful effects of UV radiation and photoaging thanks to its antioxidant properties.

Named after the Ethiopian highlands where the oilseed plant was first discovered, emollient Abyssinian oil is high in erucic acid, a nourishing omega-9 acid. Quickly absorbed, it imparts a comfortingly silky texture to the skin’s surface, working as a barrier against dehydration. It also restores a healthy sheen to hair.
Native to the Amazonian rainforest and belonging to the same family as cocoa, the cupuaçu bean produces a decadent butter with similar skin-softening and protective qualities, plus several unique antioxidants. Prized for its stability and the speed at which it melts into the skin, cupuaçu butter can support 440% of its molecular weight in water, making it a phenomenal hydrator.
Coffee Bean Powder
Finely ground coffee beans act as an effective mechanical exfoliator, sloughing away dead cells from the skin’s surface. They contain caffeine, a hardworking alkaloid that penetrates the skin barrier to fight UV radiation and photoaging with its antioxidant properties while reducing cellulite by stimulating the breakdown of fats.
Midway into a warm bath or shower, once skin has had time to soften, massage a handful of the scrub all over your body using circular motions. Increase pressure and concentrate efforts on rough areas, such as elbows, knees and the heels of the feet. Rinse off thoroughly. Skin is now primed to derive maximum benefits from the powerful botanical Céla Complex in our moisturisers.
Black Gold is best used once to twice a week, but avoid exfoliating immediately after shaving, as razor blades make skin more prone to irritation.
